Lil’ Wayne’s status as the best rapper alive may still be disputable, but when it comes to Billboard facts he’s solidified himself once again, moving nearly 1 million units in The Carter IV’s first week.

This is the hip-pop artist’s third No. 1 album within a decade. Nielson Soundscan recorded that The Carter IV soared to the crown position on the Billboard 200 selling 964,000 copies in its debut.

Wayne also showed his fans an iTune’s first by breaking the record for most digital album sales in one week selling nearly 350,000 copies, trumping the 290,000 sold by Jay-Z and Kayne’s Watch The Throne.

We’ve all seen Weezy move a mill with The Carter III and I Am Not A Human, but that was before the effects of cyber downloading had run rampant. This album is quiet the change from the 2010 rock album Rebirth, that received negative reviews from every direction and sold less than 200,000 copies.

Seems fans are elated to see the musical genius return to his money making signature style. Obviously his ballad “How To Love “ was a risk well taken.

So is safe to say everybody’s screaming Tunechi’s back? Hopefully fans can picture him rolling with a Diamond album in his future.
