During the Portland stop of “Would You Like a Tour?”, Drake announced that he’s now a part of the Jordan brand in the birthplace of the Nike headquarters.

“Today also happens to be one of the best days of my life. Growing up, I’m sure we all idolized this guy, he goes by the name of Michael Jordan. So today, I came to Portland and officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family.” – Drake in Portland

Jordan then announced the partnership on Twitter, tweeting: “He’s home. Welcome the newest member of #TeamJordan: @Drake.”

This announcement came a week after Kanye West announced that he was parting ways with Nike, stemming from his frustration on how they’ve handled his upcoming Air Yeezy II “Red October” release. He has since inked a deal with Adidas.
