Mondays are for music. Whether it’s mixtapes, EPs, LPs, or singles; in the words of the great Andre 3000, “The South Got Somethin’ To Say!”. Here it is! Every Monday, Houston Trend Team will have an artist every week to showcase their music and what’s hot!

As you know New Houston is the new wave in the music industry. The incorporation of old Houston with personal touches is something never seen or heard before. Here’s one artist that has taken the industry by storm.

You may have heard this song flooding your Spotify or even YouTube playlist, it has on mine, and with over 1 million streams and counting, how could you miss him. Reggie’s (@reginaldhelmsjr ) Southside Fade has been on my playlist since August (when I heard it) and has been on repeat ever since. A breath of fresh air from what the “norm” is in this day and time. The soul that is felt through this single and the visual is fact that this artist out the city is changing the standard for real music. Not to mention, he can actually sing, like frfr. To be honest, he doesn’t need anyone on the remix, if there was talk of one. But if he really wanted to do one, Tobe Nwigwe would be dope. Check out the visual down below and be sure to tap in with his new single I Don’t Wanna Feel No More.
