On Propain’s new album It Ain’t Safe Outside, the Forever Trill rapper from Houston’s southside used 12-tracks to give us insight on how he sees the world today. Propain has always been a vivd storyteller and passionate lyricist. This album is no different. On It Ain’t Safe Outside, he uses his gift give us a hood perspective of the world’s new normal. He raps about not only having to battle the everyday universal struggles found in all Black communities; you know the poverty, survival and the trauma, but he’s also rapping about battling the Corna virus, maintaing financial stability during the pandemic, and police brutality. Along with giving us a piece of his intellect, Propain honors the traditional H-Town music culture. It Ain’t Safe Outside last track “Way Too Fly,” gives the lister classic Houston vibes. The track is like a a long freestyle featuring, Lil KeKe, Z-ro, Lil Flip, Paul Wall, Big Pokey and Slim Thug. He didn’t leave out the new Houston, as the album has appearances from Sauce Walks, Peso Peso, D.J Xo, OTB Fastlane, Jackboy Dee and Big Jade.
