New Music Monday’s: Squalla! – Hit Different

Whenever you think of a single that just hits different, based on the level of vibes, lyricism, and delivery, Hit Different is the one. Houston-artist Squalla, has the delivery of giving his all as if it was his last time rapping. It reminds you of a rap battle that he’s clearly winning. The transparency in his lyrics, describing his start to present is another reason why this made the cut. Produced by Jack Genre, this single has the power house of beats and snares that makes it impossible for you NOT to move. The intro is filled with the gradual build of the bass, followed by the first verse from Squalla then the snares & accessories and acoustics on the beat. The power of voice Squalla has, makes you want to re-play the song over and over because you have this sense like DAMN, HE SAID THAT?!? Ever since the single came out over the weekend, it’s been incorporated into J.Renae’s playlist and has been turnt non stop. Just as the song states, “This Sh*t Just Hits Different!”. One thing no one should do, is underestimate this Houston artist. He’s not one of them to be played with when it comes to this rapping game. From past records, his production to delivery remains top-tier and untouchable. But we’ll allow you all to be the judge.
