Houston artist Miguel Pomares has a story to tell, and he’s doing it visually. In what seems to be a dedication to his grandfather George, he dropped the first video to his forthcoming EP titled George’s Grandson.

In the video, “Go With Your Move/Part Of The Game,” directed by Studio 713, the Hiram Clarke artist is on a basketball displaying his moves, but he’s playing a game against himself. Even with the unorthodox camera angles in the video, Pomares’ message is clear, in life the person holding you back is you, and even still you have to go with your move.

The video then transitions to a more melodic vibe where Pomares is venting to a counselor. In this part of the video, he gets more intimate and gives the listener more insight into his daily struggles.

He’s laying on the couch rapping about losing his grandfather, friends, and carrying the load of being the man of the household.

This is only part 1 of the EP and from the looks of it, Pomares is getting deep with this one. We look forward to seeing and hearing more from this artist. For more on this artist, follow him on IG @bringyourselfupusa.
