One thing that’s not to be determined, is the amount of effort this Houston artist is putting in to see his rap dream take off. Dogsta The Problem from the South Acres area of Houston dropped a 13-track project T.B.D. just to let the world know he’s one of the best lyricist around.

In the video above, “Dogsta the Pro (Who Am I)” serves as the introductory track that tells you who he is and what he’s about. The DTPVIZIONZ directed video is a VHS inspired visual takes the viewer back to a previous era of Hip-Hop where he describes the music as “great” and then he brings the bars immediately. “It goes down like the n***a in yo b***h DM, or like me at the crib a little after 10 pm. The next best out the H, you n***s can’t see him. Me him, Dogsta the Pro -b l e m,” he emphatically states off the rip. The rest of the video is him just doing that. DTPVIZIONZ did a perfect job of capturing the essence of Dogsta’s lyrical and performance abilities.

On track Dogsta went Jay-Z and poured his heart out on “Song Cry.” Just like Hov Dogsta couldn’t shed a tear so he let it all out on his track. He reminisces about his troubling times financially, and pursuing his rap career despite the lack of belief from his peers. He talks about the pain of being a struggling artist and the traumatic memory of losing his grandfather in 2020. He didn’t exactly quote Jay, instead he remixed it like this. “I cant see them coming down my eyes, I said, I cant see them coming down my eyes, I said, I can’t see them coming down my eyes, I said, I gotta make the song, I gotta make the song cry.”

On this project, Dogsta makes it clear that he’s real rap. T.B.D fuses his lyrical prowess with his vivid story telling and that’s what Hip-Hop is all about. I gave detail on two track because I didn’t want to spoil it for you guys. Go check out the Dogsta’s project below and for more on this artist, follow him on Instagram at Dogsta_the_problem.
