Hip Hop Superstar, Lil Wayne has said in a recent interview he did with XXL Magazine that after her drops “Tha Carter IV” he intends to retire from rap.

“I’m bowing out still on top, I’ma make y’all want me when I retire. I’ma make y’all be like, ‘Nooo!’ I ain’t leaving out this bitch when y’all be like, ‘Yeah, it’s about time, dawg.’ Carter IV might be my last one. I’ma make y’all be like, ‘Fuck!’ Yeah, nigga, I’m gone”

Weezy has been rapping professionally since the tender age of 11, and his career took a major boost after the release of “Tha Carter” back in 2004. With no signs of slowing down Wayne flooded the streets with a slew of music. Weather it being music from his vault, leaked material or mixtapes that sounded better then some peoples albums, it was almost undeniable that Lil Wayne would remain here to stay. In his interview he professed that his kids are the main reason for him wanting to hang up his jersey by saying;

“Honestly, this is the real truth; I honestly think it’s unfair to my kids. I’m super dedicated into what I do. Like, it’s no questions—it’s hands down, I do this. I live this. I don’t have a day out my week that I do something else.”

With him being intensely dedicated to his music, he explained that it does indeed take a large amount of work to maintain the high expectations of success and that he needs to spend his time with his kids.

“I want to succeed the way I want to succeed. You can succeed. You can put out a hit… But to do it the way I want to do it, to be comfortable to do what the fuck I want to do, you’ve got to work like no other. Like I said, it’s unfair to my kids. So about 30, 31, 32, I gotta get ready.”

Tha Carter IV, after being pushed back is set to release August 29th (at least that’s what Mack Maine Tweeted) and the issue of the XXL Magazine will be at news stands next week…
