Dwight-Howard-Rockets

Houston would like to welcome Dwight Howard to the land of screwtapes, Southern Hospitality, thick gorgeous women and most importantly, to the Houston Rockets franchise. But before we start planning championship parades and raising preseason banners, there are a few matters that have to be addressed before we can formally welcome the some times indecisive big man, into the clutch city folds.

First and foremost ladies and gentlemen, lets take a look at the western conference. The west, this up coming season, are the most wide open, toughest division in the past 10 years. Just think, the spurs were less than a minute away from an NBA Championship so they will definitely have something to say about the Rockets climbing the standings. The spurs are too dignified and classy to worry about another franchise’s potential. The Oklahoma City Thunder on the other hand, have a thing or two to say about the Rockets, especially after rookie point guard, Patrick Beverly, injured Russell Westbrook and cost them a potential return trip and rematch with the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Last but not least, the Golden State Warriors are what I believe to be a #2 seed in the west now, with the addition of premiere defender and play maker Andre Iguodala. So we will definitely have our work cut out for us this season.

dwight_howard_rockets Most importantly Mr.Howard if this happens to pass across your desk or timeline read this part VERY CAREFULLY. I know this will sound trite and some what redundant, but your attitude will determine your altitude and for a man of your stature, it’s time for you to play like the dominant figure you are and not shrink under the pressure. Since you embrace social media and everything trendy, here’s some news. The last player that worked out with the great Hakeem has gone on to win the last two Nba championships. So with that being said, take his words and criticism, practice them and grow. Lastly, you have to be better from the free throw line because there is no conceivable reason for you to have such a low free throw percentage when you shot so great in high school.

But all things considered, we are glad and fortunate to have you and your talents and I’m sure the trio of you, James Harden and Chandler Parsons will be able to compete with any team that rolls into the Toyota Center. Have a great season and as always for sports and everything trendy, follow me @KingKardhiac and Houston Trend Magazine.
