Its been a mystery, ever since the new Houston Hip-Hop and R&B radio station, 93.7 The Beat, hit the airwaves a few weeks back, as to who would be the new voices. Well the wait is over after a social media picture was circulated with the new Hosts of the coined “Houston’s Real Hip-Hop and R&B station” with the tagline “Think outside the BOX” Hmmm. It has already been announced that Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club aka “The worlds most dangerous morning show” with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne tha God, will be airing on January 21, weekdays from 5am-9am. Now new additions have been included to the roster. Along with a familiar voice of Houston radio, former 97.9 The Box DJ, Devi Dev, will be radio personalities UB Rodriguez, Rudy Rush and Chris Michaels.

UB Rodriguez: is the host of 107.5 WGCI’s music and entertainment show, The Rodriguez Report and is a native of Miami, FL, where he started his career. Rodriguez has worked in cities such as San Francisco, Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, which makes him pretty familiar to the Home state of Texas. His most notable career highlight, was covering President Obama’s 2012 re-election victory speech. Devi Dev: The Los Angeles native is no new voice to the Houston airwaves. Devi Dev was a DJ for 97.9 the Box and within a year became the #1 midday show. She then took her talents to NYC, joining Sway Calloway as co-host on Sway in the Morning on Sirius XM’s Shade 45. Devi Dev has been featured on CNN, MTV, Entertainment Tonight and Good Morning America. Rudy Rush: is an comedian, actor and writer known for hosting Show Time At the Apollo and from being on Def Comedy Jam. Going 15 years strong in the entertainment industry, Rudy has worked with Dave Chappelle, Jamie Foxx, Martin Lawrence and many others. Chris Michaels: Host of Whispers in the Dark and The Beat between the Sheets currently pushing 30 cities strong, Chris Michaels is a radio personality for 94.1 The Beat out of Savannah, GA. With a fascination with rescue and law enforcement, Chris was hired as a Full-time fire rescurer and in that same week, hired on as an on-call radio personality. He ultimately chose radio. “Radio broadcasting has always been my passion and was ultimately birthed into me by my late father, who worked in radio for almost 50 years. So I guess you can say I got it honest.
