Articles 0 February 12, 2012 442 Elliot Guidry

As TMZ first reported … although the cause of death is unknown, it is increasingly looking like Whitney may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.

[TMZ] was told Whitney had been drinking the night before and authorities believe a combination of Xanax and alcohol could have fatally sedated her — although our sources say it is simply too early to draw any firm conclusions. (Per TMZ)

As the  news of Whitney Houston’s passing spreads worldwide, we just wanted to take time to acknowledge SOME of the many of Whitney’s accomplishments.

With an amazing number of total career awards totaling OVER 400, Whitney Houston has won 2 Emmys, 6 Grammys, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards, to name a few.. She’s sold over 170 million albums, singles, and videos worldwide. Houston also holds the title to be the only artist to chart 7 consecutive #1 Billboard Hot 100 Hits. She is also the 2nd artist (behind Elton John) and ONLY female to have two #1 Billboard 200 (formerly Top Pop Album)

Houston was also the FIRST woman of color to grace the cover of Seventeen Magazine.

An unreplicatable talent that will be greatly missed, Whitney Houston was a true icon in the music industry, she was only 48.

God truly has another great voice in his choir in heaven.
