For more than five years, boxing enthusiasts has anticipated the potentially historical bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. Both camps have signed contracts to fight on the highest stage of all May 2, 2015 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas!

If you are familiar with Mayweather, then you know he is all about his money, hence the nickname “Money May.” Floyd is now set to make the most money ever recorded in boxing history for one fight banking as much as $120 million dollars. Mayweather is not accustomed to defeat, as he stands (47-0, 26 Kos) giving him reason to be confident, cocky, and poses this controversial swagger. Floyd took to social media to make the announcement:

“Boxing fans and sports fans around the world will witness greatness on May 2. I am the best ever, TBE, and this fight will be another opportunity to showcase my skills and do what I do best, which is win. Manny is going to try to do what 47 before him failed to do, but he won’t be successful. He will be number 48.”

Pacman gets KO

With the knockout loss to Marquez still fresh on Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao’s mind, he is training harder than ever to get his self right for the fight. Boxing fans, and gamblers, have to take into consideration at one point in time Manny was the number one fighter in the world. He also took to social media to share his feelings on finally getting his hands on Pretty Boy Floyd:

“ I am very happy that Floyd Mayweather and I can give the fans the fight they have wanted for so many years. They have waited long enough and they deserve it. It is an honor to be part of this historic event. I dedicate this fight to all the fans who willed this fight to happen and, as always, to bring glory to the Philippines and my fellow Filipinos around the world.”

So with the day set, all we can do as fans is hope the two deliver a great match!
