Around H-Tiiiiine: Mia Bella Trattoria

If it was not already obvious, the Greenway/Upper Kirby area has been the subject of exploration recently. The neighborhood houses a strip of delectable dining experiences all located along Richmond Avenue. Searching for a satisfying Italian meal led me to Mia Bella Trattoria- a classy, yet accessible dining experience on Richmond near Weslayan. The location is expansive with high ceilings, a large bar, extensive seating both inside and out, as well as a large kitchen visible to guests. The decor is modern and stylish with beautiful accent lighting throughout.

The menu includes options for casual Italian dining like pizzas, build-your-own pasta bowls, and delicious authentic soups and salads. Traditional dishes such as Ossobucco, Piccata, and Parmesan are all flavorful, elegantly plated, and satisfying. A strong recommendation would be the seafood lasagna layered with a variety of seafood, lobster Madeira sauce, and topped with jumbo shrimp and clams; it is truly an indulgent but worthy endeavor. Weekday specials and deals provide for even more affordable outings as well as more customization as far as building plates go.

The bar offers an array of drinks including a selection of fine wines that can be perfectly paired with any dish. The weekend brunch is also popular with patrons who are seeking both sweet and savory entrees along with well-crafted cocktails. Be sure to check out this gem in Greenway Plaza.
